Castagneto is a little village, actually a hamlet, under the administration of Teramo (Italy). At the highest elevation of Castagneto, there is an ancient palace belonging to our family (to the Ianuarii-Scaricamazza branch). Considering our relationship with the place, here is my gift to its community. This coat of arms is a "canting arm": in fact, the Italian name "Castagneto" has the meaning of chestnut grove.
