Castagneto is a little village, actually an hamlet, under the administration of the city of Teramo, Italy. At the highest elevation of Castagneto is an ancient palace belonging to our family (to the Ianuarii-Scaricamazza branch). Considering our relationship with the place, here it is my gift to its community. These coat of arms are "canting arms": in fact the Italian name "Castagneto" has the meaning of chestnut grove.
